Orthodontics (Braces) for Teens

Benefits of

Teen Orthodontics

At this age, your child is still growing, and orthodontists can work efficiently with the natural growth spurts to help shape their bite and teeth correctly. This age group tends to have a shorter overall treatment time than older patients undergoing similar orthodontic treatment.

When should teen orthodontics treatment begin?

The recommended time for adolescents to begin orthodontic treatment is between the ages of 11 and 15. By 12, most of the permanent teeth have erupted and are in place so crooked teeth, gaps, and bad bites can be easily detected.

It is important to schedule a consultation with us as soon as possible because these problems do not correct themselves. Many children in this age range undergo orthodontic treatment, and wearing braces is very typical of this age group.
